Στην Μονεμβασιά της Λακωνίας βρέθηκε ο π. Νικόλαος Δαλαγιώργος για την τέλεση ενός ξεχωριστού Γάμου πνευματικών παιδιών, που ένωσε δύο ηπείρους — την Αυστραλία και την Γαλλία.
Υπάρχουν γάμοι που δεν ενώνουν μόνο δύο ανθρώπους, αλλά δύο οικογένειες, δύο πολιτισμούς, δύο διαφορετικούς κόσμους. Ένας τέτοιος γάμος, γεμάτος συγκίνηση, χαρά και συμβολισμούς, έφερε κοντά την Αυστραλία και τη Γαλλία, στο χωριό της νύφης, στην Μονεμβασιά της Λακωνίας, αποδεικνύοντας πως η αγάπη δεν γνωρίζει σύνορα, αποστάσεις και χιλιάδες χιλιόμετρα.
Η τέλεση του Μυστηρίου του Γάμου έγινε στην γενέτειρα της Νύφης και αποτέλεσε μια ξεχωριστή στιγμή, κατά την οποία δύο άνθρωποι ένωσαν τις ζωές τους, έχοντας στο πλευρό τους τον πατέρα Νικόλαο, τον οποίο εμπιστεύονται τόσα χρόνια, αγαπημένα πρόσωπα που ταξίδεψαν από διαφορετικές γωνιές του κόσμου (Ρουμανία, Γαλλία, Αυστραλία, Μεξικό, Αμερική, Αγγλία)για να μοιραστούν μαζί τους αυτή τη σημαντική ημέρα.
Από την Αυστραλία έως τη Γαλλία, δύο τόποι με διαφορετική ιστορία, κουλτούρα και παράδοση συναντήθηκαν μέσα από την αγάπη ενός ζευγαριού. Οι οικογένειες και οι φίλοι έγιναν μια μεγάλη παρέα, αφήνοντας για λίγο πίσω τις αποστάσεις και τις διαφορετικές καθημερινότητες και δημιουργώντας έναν κοινό τόπο: τη χαρά της ένωσης δύο ανθρώπων.
Ο π.Νικόλαος εκφράζοντας τις ευχές του προς το ζευγάρι απηύθυνε λόγο πνευματικό και στα Αγγλικά λόγω της πολιτισμικότητας που είχε ο Γάμος.
My dear children Alexander and Aggeliki,
Today, before God, the Church, and your loved ones, you have embarked on a new path in life. This path is not merely one of joy and beautiful moments; it is a journey shared together—a path of sacrifice, patience, forgiveness, and, above all, love.
From this day forward, you are no longer two individuals simply walking side by side. You have become “two in one flesh.” Each of you is called to be a refuge, a source of comfort, a pillar of support, and a prayer for the other.
Always remember that marriage is a blessing when Christ dwells within it. When difficulties arise, do not stand in opposition to one another; instead, stand together to face the challenge. When joy comes, share it with gratitude to God. And when one of you falters, let the other be the hand that lifts them up.
Do not be afraid to forgive. Do not keep score of who has given more or less. True love keeps no record of wrongs. It learns to endure, to remain silent when necessary, to speak with gentleness, and always to return to the other’s embrace.
Let prayer dwell within your home. Make Christ your third and inseparable companion. Begin and end your day with “Glory to God,” and when difficult times arise, with “Lord, help us.”
May you be granted the blessing of seeing your home filled not only with material goods but with peace, smiles, hospitality, faith, and love. And, if God wills it, may you be blessed to hold children in your arms and raise them in the fear of God, with virtue, kindness, and love for their fellow human beings.
Be a path to Paradise for one another. Help each other draw closer to God. For the purpose of a Christian marriage is not merely to enjoy a happy life together here on earth, but to be sanctified together and—by the grace of God—to be deemed worthy of meeting again in eternal life.
And now, my children, as your life together begins, I wish this for you from the bottom of my heart:
May your home be a home of peace.
May your hearts be filled with faith.
May your words be filled with kindness.
May your difficulties become opportunities for greater unity.
May your joys be an offering of thanksgiving to God.
And may your love grow day by day—not only with the passing of years but also through the grace of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord bless your every step, grant you health, strength, and longevity, guard your home from all evil, sustain you through trials, and grant you the grace to grow old together—loving and united—holding each other’s hands.
And when, many years from now, you look back, may you be able to say with gratitude:
“We shared joys and sorrows, trials and blessings, yet we never let go of each other’s hands, and we never left God out of our lives.”
May the Most Holy Theotokos shelter your new home, may the Holy Angels protect you, and may our Lord Jesus Christ always dwell in your midst.
May you live a life filled with love, harmony, and blessings.
May God grant you many years—fruitful and peaceful—and may your love be eternal, blessed, and sanctified.
